Monthly resident population and population change

Istat makes available online – at http://demo.istat.it – monthly data on population change and resident population by sex in Italian municipalities.

The data, which derives from the monthly survey conducted by ISTAT in all Italian municipalities, should be considered provisional until the end of the reference year, when the press release on resident population and population change is published.

At the end of October 2010 the resident population in Italy was 60,574,609. Compared with the beginning of 2010, this represented an increase of 0.39% or 234,281 units.
