Production index in the construction sector

In May 2011 the seasonally adjusted index decreased by 1.2% compared with the previous month. The percentage change of the average of the quarter March-May, with respect to the previous quarter, decreased by 0.1%.

The calendar adjusted index of production in construction sector increased by 0.2% compared with May 2010 (calendar working days being 22 versus 21 days in May 2010); in the period January-May 2011 the percentage increased by 0.1% compared with the same period of 2010.

The unadjusted index of production in construction sector increased by 3.8% compared with May 2010. Comparing the average of the first five months of 2011 with the same period of 2010 the index decreased by 0.2%.
