Production index in the construction sector

In March 2011 the seasonally adjusted index decreased by 0.2% compared with the previous month. The percentage change of the average of the quarter January-March, with respect to the previous quarter was -1.3%.

The calendar adjusted index of production in construction sector decreased by 0.2% compared with March 2010 (calendar working days being 22 versus 23 days in March 2010); in the period January- arch 2011 the percentage change was 0.3% compared with the same period of 2010.

The unadjusted index of production in construction sector decreased by 3.7% compared with March 2010. Comparing the average of the first three months of 2011 with the same period of 2010 the index remains unchanged.
