NewsStat: NewsStat: the Italian official statistics network

Launched in March 2011, ‘NewsStat’ is the new newsletter of the Italian National Statistical Institute and the National Statistical System. It provides an opportunity to share information on organizational innovation under study or introduced by the actors in the System, new products already available and those in preparation , use of data for research or design purposes and policy evaluation, developments taking place within the European Statistical System and internationally.

The newsletter resumes and carries on that dialogue with users started in 2003 through the Sistan newsletter, whose last issue appeared at the end of 2010.

"NewsStat" is published bimonthly in electronic format only.

Intheworld: Istat cooperation newsletter

Istat has started the publication of "Intheworld" - the newsletter on technical-statistical cooperation - in order to improve communication within the international cooperation network. The aim is to share experiences and best practices, while fostering synergies and exchanges for developing new projects. The new communication tool also aims to document the new challenge Istat is going to face and to share it with all development actors, both donors and recipients.The setting up of the School of Statistics and Economic and Social Analysis, indeed, gives the Italian Statistical System the opportunity to integrate training and cooperation activities, making Italy a crucial part in the international network for the strengthening of statistical systems in developing countries and emerging markets.
